It was announced on 6th March 2014 that payments made under the Mesothelioma Act 2014 scheme will be increased from 75% to 80% of the average compensation received by those employees who have successfully pursued their employers. The increase is to be implemented ahead of the first payment being made later this year. It is suggested that eligible Claimants will receive an average of £8,000 more per person.
